According to Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, national chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), no political gang-up would stop President Bola Ahmed Tinubu from being reelected in 2027.
President Tinubu’s handling of national governance issues, including the declaration of a state of emergency in Rivers State, was criticized by former vice president Atiku Abubakar during a press conference on Thursday in Abuja.
Atiku asserted that they had formed a new coalition to overthrow Tinubu in 2027, accompanied by a host of other opposition figures, including former Imo State Governor Emeka Ihedioha and Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai.
But reacting, Ganduje in a statement by his special assistant on public enlightenment, Chief Oliver Okpala, said, “No amount of political arrangement or gang up can stop the good people of Nigeria from re – electing Tinubu as President in 2027.”
He said, “Tinubu will surely emerge victorious because of his untrammeled performance since he assumed office as President of Nigeria.
“Forget the recent political gatherings and rantings from some politicians who presently does not have any identifiable political base.
“There gathering from Labour Party to PDP to SDP and others are people with different political ideologies and selfish political interests that can never agree on any issue politically.”
